Although Reggie Jones began his career in the world of cheese in product development and quality control, he dreamed of being able to develop his own small-batch artisan cheeses. Located in the beautiful central coast region of California, Jones' business Central Coast Creamery now specializes in aged cow, sheep and goat’s milk cheeses made from local, hormone-free milk. Jones believes in the rich potential of quality milk, and has a mission to introduce the American palate to flavors found in the best cheeses of Europe.
Dream Weaver is a unique washed-rind goat's milk wheel made from milk from the David Vera Dairy in Lemoore, California. Its soft creamline gives way to a springy interior, and its paste is sweet with flavors of yeast.
Aged for 3 months, Ewereka is a unique sheep milk cheese made in Paso Robles. The paste offers a distinct sweetness up front (we recently got mango/pineapple notes), followed by a pleasant creamy finish with just the right amount of tang. The name "Ewereka" is a play on the California state motto, the perfect tribute to this original California cheese.
