Neal’s Yard Dairy has a mission that is summed up in three words: improve British cheese. Started in the 1980’s when farmstead British cheeses were on the decline in favor of industrialized food products, founder Randolph Hodgson seeked to change the dynamic. Seeking out producers of traditional cheeses from the British isles, Neal’s Yard Dairy helped revitalize the industry and today is a leader in the artisan cheese movement. Seeking out both authentic and exciting cheeses, Neal’s Yard helps small producers through selection, maturing and selling their products in the UK and abroad. They have made British classics known globally and continue to do so to this day through their shops, export business and widespread industry influence.
