Shelburne Farms

Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, Shelburne Farms is not only a working dairy farm, but also a non-profit education center. Truly dedicated to teaching their students about sustainability, Shelburne Farms spans more than 1,400 acres and is home to their herd of pasture-raised Brown Swiss Cows. An educational cheesemaking facility, Shelburne Farms is happy to coach and teach future cheesemakers their process. The recipes for their cheeses have been the same since 1980, which has allowed them to focus on traditional methods using ever-improving modern equipment.
