Von Trapp Farmstead


Located in Waitsfield, a rural town in central Vermont, the Von Trapp Farmstead is a third-generation farm and cheese producer headed by Sebastian Von Trapp. Quickly establishing a relationship with the Cellars at Jasper Hill, the Von Trapp Farmstead has started producing and marketing their own cheeses. Focusing on organic production and a specific mixed breeding of dairy cows (their cows are a mix of Normande, Montbéliarde - both breeds originating in France - and Ayrshire - a breed from Scotland, as well as Jersey), their cheeses were an instant success.
