A cross between a cheddar and a gouda in flavor, Roth Kase describes this cheese as “humble, friendly and reliable.” Deep orange in color with the help of the natural coloring agent, annatto, this cheese has mellow but deep flavors. Nutty, creamy and tart with hints of toffee and wet stone, this is an excellent table cheese. Try it with a cup of black tea and a crunchy pretzel.
